Warren Alpert Physician-Scientist MD/PhD and Advanced Training Program

Originally from Somerville, MA, Carin came to Brown as an undergraduate through the PLME program and graduated magna cum laude with honors in Neuroscience in 2017. She completed her PhD in the laboratory of Dr. Judy Liu, studying the ASH1L gene, a rare genetic cause of autism, epilepsy, and intellectual disability. Her long-term goal is to become a physician-scientist in the field of psychiatry.
