Warren Alpert Physician-Scientist MD/PhD and Advanced Training Program

Owen is a native Rhode Islander and graduate of Brown University (’18, Biomedical Engineering & Neuroscience). Having developed keen interests in technology, surgery, and clinical neurosciences during his undergraduate and post-baccalaureate years, Owen has focused substantial research effort towards advancing new diagnostic modalities, avoiding complications, and improving outcomes for patients undergoing various neurosurgical procedures. Owen joined the Tapinos Lab of Cancer Epigenetics and Plasticity to explore how a deeper understanding of RNA biology might enable improved diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for patients with brain cancer. Outside the lab, Owen enjoys gardening, swimming, traveling, watching movies, and hanging out with his two cats, Basil & Tilly.
