Mattia Pizzagalli

Pathobiology Graduate Program

Biography

Mattia went to undergrad at Boston College where he studied Biochemistry and German Studies. After graduating, he moved to Vienna Austria for two years as a Fulbright Scholar and studied solute carriers. Those two years were filled with exciting research, great food and endless skiing and hiking. It passed by far too quickly, and he soon returned and started his time here at Brown University! He loves Providence and all it has to offer, whether it is the wonderful community, great food or easy escape up to Maine, New Hampshire or Vermont. Over the past four years, he has been working in Dr. Nikos Tapinos' lab studying the epigenetic regulation of glioblastomas.
